Amusement — Single-colour pixel
Single-colour pixel bulbs for outlines
A single-colour pixel is a bulb with a board inside: one steady colour per lamp, screwed into a standard holder, outlining structures that are read from across a fairground.
SINGLE-COLOUR PIXEL — FIVE COLOURS, ONE SCREW BASE

Points of one colour, placed by hand
The published model of this sub-family is the E14-AC4020, a screw-base pixel bulb whose board carries its LEDs in one of five colours — red, green, blue, yellow or white — chosen per bulb. Strung along a rim or a canopy edge, the bulbs draw the structure in points of steady colour, the oldest fairground effect there is, rebuilt on an LED board.
Its detail page carries the full published table: the two input voltages the bulb runs on, its working-temperature range, its ingress grade and its packing data for the large counts outlines consume.
- Plan the colour layout rim by rim before ordering.
- Count holders, then add spares per colour and per voltage.
- Keep the spare box with the structure's maintenance kit.
Five colours on one screw base
The screw base is the maintenance story. A failed bulb is a ladder, a glove and thirty seconds — no cutting, no connectors, no reprogramming — which is why this sub-family persists on structures with long seasons and small electrical crews. Colour planning is the design work instead: alternating colours along a rim, one colour per structure, or white points with coloured accents, all decided at the order, bulb by bulb.
There is also a stocking discipline unique to this sub-family: spares are held per colour and per voltage, because a rim running one input cannot borrow from a structure running the other, and a green gap in a red rim is a visible sentence. The order that plans its colours properly plans its spares in the same lines of the same message.
The amusement ride maintenance article includes the bulb round in its between-season checklist.
