Line 05 — Controller
Controllers: the control side of a pixel line
Controllers exist in this catalogue for one reason: the programmable pixel and strip lines need something to run their sequences. This line is presented at family level, with the pairing questions that decide a working combination.

The control side of a pixel line
A programmable light on its own is inert inventory. The sequence — the chase along a ride frame, the colour sweep across a sign — lives in the controller, and the controller's fit is decided by the string it drives: its pixel protocol, its run length and how the power is injected along the way. That is why a controller is specified together with the string it will run, never in isolation.
Specifying control together with the lights
Two articles on the blog approach the pairing from the buyer's side: choosing a pixel light controller, and choosing an LED controller for pixel lights. Their subjects are the pairing questions behind a controller quotation — which lights, how many points, what effect, and what the sequence has to do.
Request the specification sheet for the model you need, naming the light line it will run. A controller quoted against a named string is a working component; a controller quoted alone is a guess.
Before you order
Ask for the full line overview and a quotation — one form covers every line, and the reply quotes against your model, quantity and destination.
